Chinese New Year is the longest and most important festivity in the Chinese Lunisolar Calendar. Starting from Chinese new year 2012 date, this festival carries on for 15days and ends up with Lantern festival on the 15th day.

The year of china is predicted according to its associated animal and its nature. Horoscope contains all the 12 animals of animal cycle. The zodiac represents twelve animals: Rat, Ox, Tiger, Rabbit, Dragon, Snake, Horse, Sheep, Monkey, Rooster, Dog, and Boar.

Chinese new year animals and years are relevant to one another. According to famous saying and folk tales of china, animals have called by Lord Buddha before getting Nirvana. As 12 animals arrived to Buddha and thus they get word of appreciation from Lord Buddha and year were named after them.
